MEGA UCS ENDAR SPIRE
Endar Spire from KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic)
This is the hammerhead cruiser seen at the beginning of Knights of the Old Republic. It is a massive model at 6,000 pieces.
The build:
You will start by building the main body of the ship which has a very sturdy technic underframe. You will then build the "side walls" and top "roof" of the build. After that you will build the stands and place the model on them. Then you will build the "head" of the hammerhead cruiser. Then finish off with building the 2 side modules towards the back. There are 2 main stands. The 2 side modules towards the back do not require stands to help them stay up. They are securely attached to the build. But if you are worried about them staying up, I have included some small support stands for them. (They are not shown in the renders since I built them last, but you will not need them; I just included them to ease anyone's mind if they were concerned that the side modules will have trouble staying up). They are included in the instructions and parts list.
Dimensions:
Length: 33 inches
Width: 18.5 inches
Height: 18.5 inches
Transportation:
If you build this and then decide that you want to transport it somewhere, make sure to remove the head of the cruiser. The head is built as one big section and attached to the main model. If you just pull on it with a bit of force, it will come off. DO NOT pick up the model without removing the head first. And secondly, remove the side modules. They also will come off if you pull hard enough. And then you can take off the stands if you want as well if that makes it easier for you.
Stands:
As I mentioned earlier, there are 2 main stands in for this endar spire. One long one in the front, which has 2 pillars to support the long midsection of the build. And one large stand in the back with 3 pillars to support the massive backsection. And there are 2 small additional support stands for the side modules if you choose to include them, although you do not need to.
Lastly, the head of the cruiser acts as the frontal stand. The very bottom of the head lines up on the ground with the 2 other stands.
Interior:
There are 5 "rooms" in this hammerhead cruiser. The largest room is in the back. This is where you first wake up in the KOTOR game and meet Trask Ulgo. The second room is kind of like a bridge of the cruiser - lots of chairs for computers. The third room is the escape pod entry, where there are 3 escape pod entrances. The fourth room is a cargo room/hallway. The fifth and smallest room is another smaller cargo bay. The entire interior is very easy to remodel so if you wanted to change things up a bit, you can easily do that.
You can also remove the side walls as seen in one of the images.
